Your SmartCurrents eligibility will not be impacted if you switch to another electric rate. Please note that you can switch from the Dynamic Peak Pricing rate after you’ve fulfilled your rate commitment.

Your SmartCurrents eligibility will not be impacted if you switch to another electric rate unless you choose to enroll in CoolCurrents, which requires a separate meter. Please note that if you switch to Dynamic Peak Pricing, you’ll be subject to Critical Peak Events in addition to SmartCurrents Peak Events.

By being an active SmartCurrents participant for 12 months with your provided thermostat, you’ll earn an annual incentive (a $25 bill credit). If your thermostat hasn’t been installed yet or is offline for 30 or more days during the period, you won’t qualify for the incentive. Participants who enrolled previously and received an ecobee3 lite or Powerley thermostat are eligible for the incentive as long as they remain enrolled and keep their thermostat active.

The SmartCurrents incentive is available beginning June 1, 2024. Your 12-month incentive period starts when your thermostat gets installed.

If you’re moving to a new residence, please email us before you move.

Let us know when you’ll be moving. You don’t have to uninstall your SmartCurrents thermostat.

Please request a return label if you haven't installed your SmartCurrents thermostat. You must return the thermostat even if you intend to re-enroll in SmartCurrents after you move into your new residence.

If you wish to re-enroll in SmartCurrents at your new residence, please use the same online enrollment process. If you're eligible, we'll send a SmartCurrents thermostat to your new address.

When you enroll in SmartCurrents, you agree to a minimum recommended commitment of 12 months and to install the free thermostat within 60 days. You must return the thermostat if it isn’t installed within 60 days. Otherwise, you’ll be charged the cost of the device specific to the model provided on your bill following 120 days after the date of enrollment.
